It gives you the versatility of running both gas and liquid fuels.The kit comes with the bag, wind shield, stove, hose, liquid pump fuel head, and gas tank base. It does not come with a liquid or gas fuel tank. In order to change from liquid to gas you have to change the jet and tank connector. The tools and parts are all included as are very well documented instructions. I highly suggest stripping this unit down when you receive it so you can become familiar with its operation and can verify all the seals and crew threads are in good shape. I found that a number of fitting require additional tools to break them free as they were over tightened during final assembly at the plant. There are a few questions a number of people are asking and I called MSR to get their answers to them... 1. Can you run diesel out of it. MSR says no. Diesel has a high flash point and the generator cannot... It's not an oven or hot plate like your used to in your kitchen. Use it properly and its fantastic! The multi fuel capability lets you cook almost anywhere you will find yourself. Though the specs you read about are a little confusing, try a friends to see what it all about. Remember what its for, camping, adventuring or survival and you will not be disapointed! Dont try to put a 14" frying pan on it and walk away. Always remember reviews by stupid people are stupid reviews. This MSR stove works as advertised. Very light . I love the simple but well constructed Stove. Just a minor flaw I discovered in the MSR carrying bag where there is a tear in the bottom . the stitching of the material probably gave way during packaging the stove and other bits and pieces.I will have to replace the nice Black bag with MSR logo with a small dry sack . |
