This stove works well enough, and it is very inexpensive. The flame easily adjusts from very low to blow torch. BUT, it appears to be made of inferior cast metal, instead of machined. I was worried that it might break during set up and attachment to a canister. I have not used it extensively, so all I know for sure is it has a nice flame.But based on test firings and hands-on feel of this stove and: Ultralight Backpacking Canister Camp Stove with Piezo Ignition 3.9oz!, I would recommend the latter. For only two bucks more, this still incredibly inexpensive stove looks and feels much more durable, and has a nice piezo-electric igniter. I bought this to use for backpacking. It got here and I used it with an MSR isobutane propane fuel cell, and it works great! I boiled 1 cup of water on medium flame in under 2 minutes. I don't know how much fuel it used, but its pretty sturdy and construction seems almost bulletproof. I would recommend it to someone who doesn't want to drop the cash on an expensive stove, but something at a fraction of the price that performs as good. Only gripe is that the legs aren't very adjustable, which really isn't a problem but just know it before purchasing. Solid, fast, economical. Buy one! |
